About AYSO

AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) is a nationwide non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Five Philosophies:

1. Everyone Plays -- At least half of every game
2. Open Registration -- AYSO has sign-ups, not try-outs. As long as there is space on a team, every child who signs up will play.
3. Balanced Teams -- Skilled/talented players are evenly distributed among all teams in a league to promote balanced competition.
4. Positive Coaching -- AYSO believes in building soccer skills and self-worth through encouragment and teaching.
5. Good Sportsmanship -- AYSO has active programs to promote positive behavior on the fiels and on the sidelines.

AYSO is organized into regions, areas, and sections (see graphics below). Region 1533, our local region belongs to Area R in Section 9.
