About AYSO

AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) is a nationwide non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Five Philosophies:

1. Everyone Plays -- At least half of every game
2. Open Registration -- AYSO has sign-ups, not try-outs. As long as there is space on a team, every child who signs up will play.
3. Balanced Teams -- Skilled  /talented players are evenly distributed among all teams in a league to promote balanced competition.
4. Positive Coaching -- AYSO believes in building soccer skills and self-worth through encouragement and teaching.
5. Good Sportsmanship -- AYSO has active programs to promote positive behavior on the fields and on the sidelines.
6. Player Development -- AYSO believex that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.

AYSO is organized into regions, areas, and sections (see graphics below). Region 1533, our local region belongs to Area R in Section 9.
